Project Life Week 52, 2012 - Imaginisce

Last Saturday my Project Life week 52, 2012 was up on Imaginisce's blog, but I haven't shown it here yet. So here it is:

The last week of the year is always our busiest time of the year. Not only because of Christmas and New Year’s Eve, but also because of my son’s birthday on the 30th of December (today!).

This means I have tons of photos for my Project Life album to choose from! I so loved using “Colors of Christmas” for my PL album; the warm colors are perfect for the photos and the cute designs and patterns make my spread so happy and festive! and I just totally adore the little hedgehog!

And just because today's Mats' 9th birthday a photo of the birthday boy!!

and last but not least one of him with his bro and sis and his birthday cake:

(and sorry for the funny faces, but I guess turning 9 means tons of photos with funny faces, sigh).

Have a fab day!

Love going to the cinema! - Pink Paislee

When my youngest son and I went to the cinema to watch the 3D movie "Turbo", I took these fun pics and when I saw the glasses in the "Hey Kid" collection from Pink Paislee I knew instantly I just had to have this collection! Isn't it just perfect for these photos?!!

And I love everything that comes with this collection: the patterned paper (with the ink spatters!), the (alphabet)stickers, the diecuts, the tags, the vellum borders .... love them all! Which is - once again - the reason I couldn't stop adding more and more bits and pieces to my page!

Supplies: Pink Paislee "Hey Kid".

Thanks for visiting my blog!!

Dreaming of Summer! - Pretty Little Studio

Here in The Netherlands the weather has been grey, stormy and very wet for quite some time now and I really felt like scrapping a summer photo. So I grabbed a pic from my pile of summer holiday photos and got started. This photo was taken during a visit to a crocodile farm in the south of France and I thought “Nature Walk” was the perfect collection to scrap it. I added bits of pieces of other collections for the finishing touch, like the flair button and paper ribbon from the “Neapolitan” collection and the BIG “3” from the "Monsieur” collection. I just love that all Pretty Little Studio’s collections can be combined so easily! Then, to finish it all off I added some machine stitching. Hope you like it!

Zo gaaf!

and a couple of close-ups:

2014 Calendar - Doodlebug Design

As the end of the year is approaching fast I find myself reaching for a calendar for 2014 more and more. And because I didn't have one yet, I decided to create one using a variety of Doodlebug's fabulous collections.

I used a photo frame I had lying around, found a printable calendar on the internet and got started. And here's how the end result looks:

I cut 12 cards for the months (measuring 3"x 5"), using mostly Doodlebug's 4"x 6" album inserts (which I had to make a bit smaller), punched holes in the top using my Zutter Bind-It-All, embellished them, adhered the months and adhered the last card (Decmeber 2014) to the photo frame.

Here's how the months look:

A bit closer:

When a month is over I intend to just remove the month and throw it away.

Here a few more photos.

I used lots of ribbons to decorate the Zutter wire and added a tag to include the year. On every card I left enough space to write down some notes, like birthdays or other important events.

Hope you like it!

Thanks for visiting my blog and wishing you happy crafting!

On Stage - Glitz Design

My daughter loves to act (both in plays and at home, lol) and when she got the chance to join in an acting class at school, but after school hours, she did so immediately! After months of rehearsing the play "Plastic" was finally performed for family & friends! I loved it!!

Using the "Color Me Happy" collection by Glitz Design. Seeing her make-up I thought this collection was perfect!

Before starting my page I played a bit with my Gelatos on the white cardstock. Love it, but I think I have to start being a bit less careful, which will be difficult as that's not who I am!

Bedankt voor je bezoek!

Another Xmas giftbag & bookmark - Pink Paislee

As the Doodlebug giftbag with bookmark was such a hit with my family & friends, I created 2 more. This time using Pink Paislee's Snow Village collection. Love this collection with all the gold!

And 2 close-ups:

And here's how the bookmark looks in a book. On the inside of the bookmark there're 2 small magnetic strips so it will stick to your bookpage.

Pretty Little Studio Tuesday Sketch Challenge

Every year I forget how busy December is going to be! Until I'm in the middle of it! Husband almost abroad for work almost every day, kids having Xmas dinner at school (and yes, mum will most certainly make you something to take with you), lots of birthdays going on and then of couse my work in the office .... At times like these I'm extra grateful for this fantastic hobby! As soon as I sit down at my desk with my scrappy stash I start to unwind! I love this time to myself, even if it's only an hour sometimes. Here's a page I created for Pretty Little Studio's Tuesday sketch (not only because it was my assignment, but also because I just LOVE to play with this new Christmas collection!)

and here a few close-ups:

The sentiment and the title are cut with the Silhouette Cameo:

And the stars on the background were created with Gelatos. Love trying out all the posibilities.... expect to see more!

And don't you just love that owl flair!

December Tradition - Doodlebug

I can't begin to tell you how much fun and satisfaction I get from scrapping with Doodlebug's happy and colorful collections! Every time I sit down with my photos and my Doodlebug collection of choice I 'm filled with this feeling of happiness!

The same happened when I scrapped this layout with photos of my kids taken a few years ago. Every year in December an ice skating-rink is installed in the city centre and my kids love to go ice skating there.

I really love how well the colors of Doodlebug's collection "Home for the Holidays" match the colors in my photos! And don't you just love this bow that comes with this collection?! Perfect for gift wrapping but also for layouts.

The "'T is the Season" flag is actually a pixie flag, but I cut off the holes and used it without the pixie.

The title was created using the sketch pen in my Silhouette Cameo.

And I just adore the 3D stickers belonging to this collection, like Santa here:

This is it. Thanks for letting me share, hope you liked it!

Christmas Photo Tray - Imaginisce

When my sister saw the Christmas photo tray I created she said how she would love to have one too, so this year I decided to make one for her.

I used Imaginisce's "Colors of Christmas" collection, which is I think is just perfect for this purpose:

For the finishing touch I used my Silhouette Cameo to create some snow and icicle borders. Love the end result!

December Sketch Challenge - Life.Paper.Scrapbook

Yesterday I felt like scrapping and decided to enter the December sketch challenge at Life.Paper.Scrapbook. For my page I used Pink Paislee's Snow Village collection. I so love all the golden elements in this collection!

and a few close-ups:

The photo is my dd posing with her new dress for Xmas 2 years ago.

And here is LPS's December sketch (there's still time if you want to join too!):

Merry Christmas - Pretty Little Studio

How I love this brand new “Woodland Christmas” collection! The warm yellow, red, brown and green colors are just fabulous, the designs are awesome and I adore the vellum that is added to this collection! I find it just perfect to use either for layering or for cutting out titles or sentiments with my Cameo. In this case I decided to use it to layer my photo as I wanted to use the “MERRY CHRISTMAS” diecut as a title. What I also love very much is the packaging of this collection! I’ve used every last bit of it! You’ll find it at the top of my page.

en een paar close-ups:

Leuke collectie he?

Don't you just love this collection?!! Here's the link to my blogpost on Pretty Little Studio's blog.
