Falling for You - Paper Issues' new issue!

Last Monday Paper Issues' new issue went up: "Fallin' for You", sponsored by Ruby Rock-It. You can link up any and every project you've got concerning Fall and/or Weddings/Anniversaries/Love You ... etc. I used the Bella Blvd collection I bought at Paper Issues to create a "love you" layout about my son. Hope you like it!

LOVE YOU:

and a few close-ups:

The stitching was done with an Amy Tangerine template, which are also available at Paper Issues' store!

I love owls!

Hi everyone! Yesterday my owl shadow box was on Doodlebug's blog and I thought I'd share it here too.

Last month I created a Haunted House Shadow Box for Doodlebug and because I loved it so very much, I decided to do another one.

Those of you who know me well, know I {heart} owls, so the decision what to create was easy:

I used the "Happy Harvest" collection which I love for its warm colors and awesome designs (the blue paper in the background with the owls is my favorite!).

I used half of a styrofoam ball, painted it brown and covered it with punched 1 inch circles, which I adhered with lots of pins. I worked from the middle to the edge; so I started with the owl's eyes and tummy and then filled the rest of the body with brown circles.

Last but not least I added some finishing touches like the moustache, the pupils in the eyes, the feet, and the wings and the little heart.

I had so much fun creating the owl and the fun part is, there're so many other animals you can create with half a styrofoam ball and punched circles, like a cute prickly hedgehog or a green frog or a fat chicken ... ! The possibilities are endless! If you decided to try one too, I'd love to see them!

Thanks for visiting Doodlebug's blog and I wish you happy crafting!

I'm so thankful for this - Pretty Little Studio

Today my "free" layout went up on Pretty Little Studio's blog. I decided to scrap a photo of my father-in-law, my husband, my 2 sons and a nephew.

Althought we don't celebrate "Thanksgiving" in The Netherlands, I find there's so much to be thankful for and so I created this page: "Thankful for Family"

I used the awesome "Nature Walk" collection for this project. Love it!

Project Life, week 40 - Imaginisce

I’m so happy so be able to share my Project Life spread for week 40 with you! I hope you don’t mind, but I’m still working on my PL album for 2012! I’m not one of those very quick scrappers and I’d rather take a bit more time and love the result, then do it quick and hate it. Furthermore, creating a PL spread takes me much longer than creating a layout. I think this spread has been lying on my desk for at least 3 days!

I love the warm colors of the Bushel o' Fall collection and they were perfect for this Fall week!

And some close-ups from the left side

and one of the right side

If you want to share your PL projects too then make sure you link 'm up on i.e. Imaginisce's blog

A couple of Halloween cards - Imaginisce

For my Halloween cards I’ve used papers from three different Imaginisce collections: “Black Ice”, “Outdoor Adventure” and “Bushel o’ Fall”. Basically I just wanted orange and black colored papers and I found those in these collections

The card with the spider’s web I’ve created with my Silhouette Cameo (silhouette cut file #32717 cobweb card) and was really too easy: all I did was fold it, adhere an orange background and add some eyes.

The card with the witch was a bit more work. It consists of three layers, which I stitched with the sewing machine and adhered on the card base. The witch was a die and I used my Big Shot to cut her. The letters which for “boo” are leftovers from the other card and I added some bling from Imaginisce’s “Bushel o’ Fall” collection.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back soon!!

Ruby Rock-It October Challenge

As we're having a week off because of the school Fall holidays I had some time to scrap! I decided to join Ruby Rock-It's October challenge as I just love the stash I've got lying around from them waiting to be scrapped!

Here's the page I did:

I used lots of their "Cook" collection. Just loving all the embellishments that go with this collection. The photos are from our last vacation in France.

Fun in the Sun - Pretty Little Studio

October 22nd another sketch challenge went up on Pretty Little Studio's blog and it was my turn to create a page for it!

For this layout I used the awesome “Sand Castle” collection. The photos were taken during the summer holidays in Portugal and just perfect for this collection. I love that this collection has so many bits and pieces! Like the giant number “2”, the journaling cards, the banner flags, the bingo cards and the butterfly stickers. I love adding many items to my pages and that’s what I did!

Here's my page "Fun in the Sun" and that's what they had!!

and a few close-ups:

I LOVE that my kids get along so well!! (most of the time!).

Here's the sketch Kerri designed for us:

Please join us if you've got a minute to spare!! We would love to see your projects based on this sketch. The prize you can win is $5.- coupon to the PLS store!

Bushel o' Fall layouts {Imaginisce}

This last week Imaginisce has been showcasing their new collection "Bushel o' Fall". The collection consists of warm Fall colors, great designs (lots of chevrons!) and super sweet animals like squirrels, birds and deer. This is definitely one of my favorite Imaginisce collections!

Here're my projects: Laugh and be Happy, a layout of me with Mieke and Stefanie, two of my best friends.

Life is Great: a page about my daughter.

And the 3rd layout: Mats in NY.

Supplies: Imaginsce (Bushel of Fall): patterned paper, die-cuts, sticker stackers. Other supplies: cardstock: Bazzill Basics. Tools: Sewing Machine: Aigger; Diecutting machine: Silhouette Cameo; Tiny Attacher: Tim Holtz;  Border Punch: EK Success.

To see the entire collection go HERE. You'll love it!

Tomorrow I'll be drawing a winner of my Kiwi Lane templates. If you want a chance to win them and haven't commented on my blog post yet, go HERE.

New Camera - Doodlebug Pixies!

Today my "pixies" layout is up on Doodlebug's blog! I just love these new products and the "Day to Day" collection is AWESOME!!

This is the page I created:

And here's a detail shot of the "pixie" circle I created:

What I did was easy: first you roughly design your page (don't adhere anything yet!). Use a pencil to draw a (part of the) circle:

Next cut the pixies in little parts (I used garden shears to do this, but I'm sure normal scissors would do the tric as well):

Now stitch the little pixie parts onto your page:

And then adhere the rest of your papers and embellishments. I used the Xyron Mega Runner for this part:

And your page is ready! I really loved using the pixies on my page!!

Here're a few close-ups of the rest of the finished page:

How I LOVE Doodlebug!!! <3 nbsp="" p="">
