Scraptastic Sweater Weather layout

Hi everyone, popping in to share a layout I made this morning. My Scraptastic Club box with the Sweater Weather kit and add-on was lying on my table and I simply couldn't ignore it! So I grabbed more or less the first photo I found and got started (sometimes I just NEED to play with paper! The feeling was there as soon as I woke up, lol!).

So here's what I did:

Nothing really fancy, but so fun to do! A lot of these papers are exclusively designed for Scraptastic by the wonderful Kaitlin Sheaffer! A few close-ups:

Love all those paper clips out there! And that little label (also exclusively designed for this kit by Kaitlin Sheaffer) .... just awesome!:

Adore the deer sticker!

Had to add stitching of course:

And a flair button is pretty much mandatory:

Thank you sooooo much for stopping by! Enjoy your Saturday!

Scraptastic Club's January Sketch Challenge & a feature - Fancy Pants!

Good morning everyone! Yesterday Scraptastic's sketch challenge for January went up! Susan created a fabulous sketch for us and here's the layout I created for it:

I used an older kit for this page: the “Let Me Go” kit and add-on from April 2014 and instead of the 4×6″ photo I used a Studio Calico overlay.

Love all the Fancy Pants "As You Wish" in this kit and mainly selected those for this travel layout of my daughter. This photo was taken at the airport the morning she left for the States.

Also love all the Studio Calico goodies in this kit: the overlays, the chipboard stars, the gold enamel dots ....

The puffy heart stickers are from Dear Lizzy.

And this is the January sketch:

Fun right?!

If you feel like playing too you have until February 4th at midnight to submit all of your entries for the january Blog Challenges (this is the 3rd). The prize this month is $20.00 to spend in the Scraptastic Club store. You don't have to use stuff from the kits to play btw!

Then something else entirely: what also happened was that one of my Fancy Pants layouts was featured on their blog yesterday!! Here's the link to check it out!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Scraptastic Store - Webster's Pages - Best Christmas Present!

Hi everyone! It's Monique again with yet another (!) Christmas layout for you. By now you've probably noticed that I adore all those Christmas collections out there and because I bought so many of them, I'm still scrapping Christmas photos! This page is about a Christmas present I bought for myself: a Kindle Fire! And boy, is it the best present ever! I'm totally in love with this little tablet! I read my e-books on it, watch my favorite series and films on Netflix, browse Pinterest, check my own and other's blogs and catch up on Facebook!

I decided that this little treasure had to become a part of my scrapbook album and so I created this page using some awesome Webster's Pages goodies from the Scraptastic Store.

How I adore banners on my pages!! Not only because I really love how they look, but also because non of my scraps go to waste! I also use the strips at the bottom of the 12x12 sheets to create banners with.

I used some of Juliana Michaels' Silhouette cut files as well.

The journaling is in Dutch; my apologies!! But it's pretty much the same as what I said at the beginning of this blog post.

Here's the list of supplies I used, everything is from the Scraptastic Store.  If you click on the separate supplies it will take you to the product in the store.

Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today! Hope you've enjoyed my page.

Scraptastic Club - another Pinterest inspired layout!

Hi friends! Last Monday Leanne and I had another Pinterest inspired blog post on Scraptastic Club's blog. This is the pin we used:

I have to admit, that although I really love this quote, when I got started on my project I struggled a bit to find the right angle. But when I started going through my photos and found these two of my daughter and me at Platform 9 3/4 in London (Harry Potter fans know what I mean, lol), it hit me! Because what is more impossible than wizardry? So, when I had decided on that, the rest was easy … Here’s what I came up with:

Initially I planned to use the grey color in my layout as well, but in the end it’s less catching than I had imagined it beforehand. If you look closely you’ll find a few grey elements in the top left corner of my page: a grey heart and a grey sticker with “today”.

For my layout I used the fabulous “Best Day Of My LIfe” kit and add-on from June 2014 and some wood veneers from the August 2014 “Boys of Summer” kit.

How I love the flairs from Kaitlin Sheaffer!

Thank you so much for taking a peek at my page! If you'd like to see what Leanne did, please hop over to Scraptastic's blog!! And if you're interested in Scraptastic Club's kits (they really are the BEST ever!) then take a look HERE!

Have a fab day!

Happy Birthday!! - Pretty Little Studio

Here everyone! Welcome to another Pretty Little Studio “picture challenge”! When I saw the picture Melissa chose for us for today I immediately thought of a party (how could I not?!) and so, that’s what I went with!

I chose this photo of my family and me celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday, which is a bit weird as she wasn’t there herself. As you may know, my daughter is in the US for almost a year (attending high school) and last November she turned 18. As we couldn’t be with her that day, we decided to celebrate it anyway, but without her and also a few days early. We took pictures of our little party and made a film and then wrapped it all up and sent it to her. So, in the end, on her actual birthday we were all there!

I used the fabulous, bright & happy Birthday Cake collection to scrap this photo, which – I’m pretty sure – wasn’t designed with the birthday of an 18 year old in mind, but I think it works very well! The colors couldn’t be happier and the huge 18 is awesome! Also adore the bingo cards and the colorful tags!

Adore this tiger die-cut (even if his cake has only 5 candles, lol) and I adore that little polaroid card with the celebrating duck!

And this was today's photo inspiration:

So how about you? What comes to your mind when you look at the picture for today’s challenge? I would love to see! Thank you so much for stopping by again today!

Growing Up - Imaginisce

Good morning! Today I'm going to share another Imaginisce project with you, using the awesome "Family Fun" collection. The photo is of my son and one of his friends on their first day of High School. Barely 12 years old they insisted they wanted to cycle to their new school on their own. Of course I wanted to make sure they would find their way (and that they would arrive safely), so I followed close behind (and took this photo ... not the best quality, as I'm cycling too, but it's okay).

Except for the Family Fun collection I also wanted to use the new Imaginisce "milk paint" and decided to color the text a bit. Very quickly it became apparent that the Silhouette sketch pens aren't waterproof so I had to treat carefully. Although it won't win any contest I truly like the result.

I also used Imaginisce's cordless D-Stress Tool:

Such an awesome tool!!

Last but not least two close-ups of the die-cut boys I used. I dressed them myself too, how fun is that? They come with a whole collection of die-cut clothes and accessories!

Scraptastic Pinterest Challenge

Last Monday Nathalie and I shared a "Pinterest inspired" blog post on Scraptastic's blog. Here are the pins we used for our projects:

Here's what I created using these photos: because of the girl with the book in our Pinterest collage I chose photos of my son and me at the school library for my layout. Books are a huge part of my life, always have been. So when the school board was looking for help for their library I volunteered straight away. For my page I used November’s Free Fallin’ kit and add-on which I adore!

I chose patterned paper with leaves (October Afternoon and Bella Blvd) because of the branches with the leaves in our collage. Then for the punched out hearts I used an old book page and punched out hearts as well (the old book page comes from my own stash):

For the title I used alpha stickers from Elle’s Studio and the design was obviously also derived from the Pinterest collage:

And I thought that the rug in the Pinterest photo resembled this houndstooth paper:

This was my interpretation of the Pinterest photos and cards we chose. For Nathalie's layout please hop over to the Scraptastic blog

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Scraptastic Store - Holly Berry Borscht by Jillibean Soup

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a layout I created with the colorful "Holly Berry Borscht" collection from Jillibean Soup. It looks like a Christmas layout, but the photo was actually taken in August last year. As my daughter had just arrived in Louisiana her host family showed her around and also took her to see Santa's House. As I love Jillibean's Christmas collection and had bought quite a lot from the Scraptastic Store I decided to use this collection to scrap Manon's photo.

Also from the Scraptastic Store is this paperclip from Freckled Fawn: I LOVE paper clips and have loads of them!

What I also love are the ephemera packages "Mix The Media" from Jillibean Soup. I chose quite a few cards from the red one.

And of course I needed some washi tape to finish it all off. This kraft tape is also from Jillibean Soup:

The enamel stars I used are from Chickaniddy Crafts:

Hope you like my page!! If you want to know where you can find everything in the store, here's my supply list and if you click on the seperate supplies it will take you to the product in the store.

One Big Fun Adventure - Imaginisce

Hi everyone!! So happy you're here! Today I'm sharing my first project for Imaginisce as part of the 2015 design team!

For today the challenge was to create a layout about "new beginnings" and to use Imaginisce's "Family Fun" collection. Now, I don't know about you, but I find myself browsing through all the pins on Pinterest way too much, but in this case I was so glad I did, as I knew exactly what I was going to do! I had seen this photo on Pinterest and I wanted to use that as my starting point for this page.

source: pillow cover by Kaleidoscope from Vertou

I love both the colors and the design of this pillow cover so much and decided to use both and came up with this:

How is this about "new beginnings" you might ask? Well, the girl on the right is my daughter and (as some of you might already know) as of August last year she's a foreign exchange student in the US (we are from The Netherlands, Europe). She went to the US, leaving everything behind: her family and friends, her boyfriend, everything that was dear to her to trade it all in for a foreign country, an unknown family, no friends, unknown school(system), unknown everything ... now how is that for new beginnings?

Here are a few close-ups of my layout: love all the stickers that come with the Family Fun collection!

Some fabulous Thickers from American Crafts:

And a few awesome die-cuts:

Except paper, stickers and die-cuts I also pulled out a few Imaginisce tools! Did you notice? Here's what I used: the I-Rock tool, tweezers, jewel tray and some jewels (Glam Rocks).

This I-Rock tool is one of my favorite tools of Imaginisce. It's cordless and warms super quickly! The jewels have a bit of glue on the bottom and the only thing you have to do is press the warm metal tip of the I-Rock tool on top for a few seconds. The glue melts and as soon as you remove the warm metal tip, the glue cools and the jewel is fixed to your page! Easy Peasy!

The tray comes in super handy as well. I use it very often for these jewels or for glitter or sequins: without spilling anything, everything glides back into the bottle in a second!

Supplies: Imaginisce: patterned paper (Family Fun, Black Ice, Good Dog), die-cuts, stickers (Family Fun), Glam Rocks; American Crafts: cardstock, Thickers. Tools: Imaginisce I-Rock tool, I-Rock Jewel Tray, 14x14 I-Mat and Lighted Tweezers.

So this was my project for today! I would love to learn what you think?

And if you want to see the pin I used on Pinterest, here's my Pinterest account, you'll find the pin on my board "Inspiration Is Everywhere". And if you're looking for more Imaginisce projects then Imaginisce's Pinterest account is the place to go!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy crafting and pinning!!
